While the New York Asters also have different varieties, being that they are both from the Aster family, the colors are typically brighter pink and purple with a tint of blue. Asters also originate from European areas, in which are called Frikart’s and Rhone Asters. The Frikharts aster, is a larger blue flower with some purple in it as well.
