The Aster Flower is a flower that is a more complicated flower than another one. Making this type of flower at the end of summer and beginning of fall flower which is used for designs. Scientifically, Asters are from the kingdom Plante, with a Family of Asteraceae, and a Genus of Aster. The Asters is derived from a Green origination, and is known for its beautiful name and bloom. As this flower blooms in the late season, there is a flower in the Aster Family called Alpine Aster which blooms earlier in May. Being that this flower depends on outside critters like insects and butterflies for their pollination, the Alpine Aster blooms early for that reason. The Aster is one of the flowers that is the easiest to garden, and there are two different groups where the Aster is in. One group called the New England Asters, and the other New York Asters. Asters have a great and spring smell, while they are typically similar to daisies.  Aster Flowers are typically named after a star translation, which references back to the flower resembling a star. Where does the Aster Flower come from?

Asters originate from different areas. Since there are many named Aster flowers that are associated within this flower family, they typically originate from both countries Europe and Asia. As the different variations of Asters are usually within North America, the main Asters that are within North America are called the New England Aster, along with the New York Aster. These both are native in North America, and both provide many varieties of flowers. Although relating in color, the New England asters typically are smaller compared to the New York, while having a color ranging from a deeper purple color to near magenta. While the New York Asters also have different varieties, being that they are both from the Aster family, the colors  are typically brighter pink and purple with a tint of blue. While caring for these, it is important to take note of the type of aster being flowered, unless wanting a desired mixture of both these types. Asters also originate from European areas, in which are called Frikart’s and Rhone Asters. The Frikharts aster, is a larger blue flower with some purple in it as well. While the Rhone aster is smaller shaped, but similar in color. Gardening these types of flowers is important to consider the compact growth needed for these types.
