Bird of Paradise will need rich soil with good draining. It blooms when in full sun but should be put a little away from the window to avoid the plant from burning. Temp 5-70 Fahrenheit (18-21 C.) during the day and 50 F. (10 C.) at night. Water the plant until the plant is fully wet. Do not water again till dirt is fully dry by touch. In the winter time water the plant by half. Be aware if you have any pets. Dogs enjoy chewing on these plants and this can be very toxic causing abdominal pain and vomiting.
